Europe Day

As a member of the European Union, the recent accession of Romania to the Schengen area, naturally included in the agenda of events of Bucharest Airports National Company another holiday, Europe Day, which we marked festively, celebrating the values we share with all the member states of the European Union.

Organized in partnership with ARCUB - the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Bucharest, the anniversary event offered the passengers of the Bucharest "Henri Coandă" International Airport the surprise of a flashmob performed by the Royal Choir. The recital of the young and talented artists took place under the theme "Ode to joy", the official anthem of the European Union, a fragment of the 9th Symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1823, bringing in the airport, through the refinement of the musical selection and the quality of the interpretation, the proper dignified elegance for such a festive moment, but also the optimism that their age naturally generates. In this way, we paid tribute to Europe’s path from division to unity, looking to the future with confidence in the solidity of the European construction.
